He is prone to emotional outbursts, during which he displays significant anger and tends to lash out at others. He also exhibits significant hyperactivity and impulsivity. Explain why, once you find out that this young boy has a history of trauma beginning at a young age (including emotional abuse, physical abuse, and attachment disruptions), you believe that he should be diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder instead of ADHD.
