Students will select their hypothesis, research their position, and then write their argument reflecting their
position on one of the four issues. The paper should be 8-10 pages in length (not including the Title and
Abstract pages), double-spaced in APA format with at least 8 different reference sources.
Students will utilize the following general outline to write their papers:
I. Title Page – Indicating title of paper, your name, the school, the course title and your instructor
II. Abstract – Second page of your paper. The abstract is a condensed summary of your entire paper and
should be no longer than 150 to 250 words.
III. Introduction – state your hypothesis and general summary of your paper
IV. Main Body of Paper (Development of Argument) – Discussion of your position on one of the above
subjects. Use credible evidence / research articles to support your position. Cite your sources.
