While you are not required to bring in external sources beyond what we’ve covered in class, you are welcome to do so. Make sure any such sources are listed in a bibliography.

You have decided to run for a seat on your city council. You have also decided that one of your platforms is that you will work to support families and family values. Based on the material we have discussed this semester, please use your sociological learning and understanding to construct the components of your “families and family values” platform. There should be a minimum of three main components to your platform – corresponding to topics we have discussed throughout the semester (these could be drawn from individual units or from issues that cut across multiple units). You will need to select the components that would be key to your platform. You should also highlight at least two specific sociological concepts in building support for your platform
